Welcome to the Blog Site of Hank Hill

Hello All, I Live in Arlen, Texas. I work for Strickland propane and sell propane and propane accessories. Like my wife Peggy, I also enjoy teaching students. When not learning about propane, I enjoy teaching computers in Northern Manitoba. I am originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario. My favourite restaurant is Mr. Ribs. Blogging is easy and fun, sorry for the delay in setting it up...

Advice for my peers...
Don't reveal so many details about yourself. I was easily able to find out your name and info from what you mentioned in your blog. I think we must keep it more confidential. I suggest that my students always make up a life story or as I am doing follow one of their favourite characters..

Cheers,

Hank Hill

We have a ringer!!!
Cute blog and good advice. Confidentiality and privacy are worthy ideals although a bit hard to achieve in the days of Google and ubiquitous public surveillance. I like your approach, security through obscurity.

The biggest threats with respect to most forms of theft, including identity theft are still pretty low tech; somebody stealing your wallet, going through your mail or your garbage, looking over your shoulder at the ATM, the waiter that takes your credit card out of your sight.

Still I guess we have to go out of the house sometimes. I have an Auntie who says that "A ship in harbor is safe, but that's not what ships are built for."

I look forward to your reflective posts and your thoughts on the use of web-based tools for teaching and learning.

Good Day everyone, it is very nice and sunny. I have on my NASCAR M&M jacket today in celebration of Kyle Busch's victory Sunday. Wow, what a day. I now just hope that my Montreal Canadiens pull off a win so I can win my Habs Jersey tomorrow.

greetings Hank,

I suppose you are correct in your concerns about privacy, I had the same reservations. I may have to do some changing. However, good advice aside, I must strongly object to your choice in NHL hockey teams. The Flyers rule!
(And yes, I'm good enough, smart enough, and people like me!)

Wow, it looks lke Montreal was so nice last night that they let the Flyers win a game. This shows the character of a great hockey tinme.

I just wanted to send you my condolences to you after the Flyers stomped all over the Habs on their own turf to take the series 4 games to 1. Na Na na na, na na na naaa... bye bye. I guess they weren't good enough, smart enough, and not enough people liked them. ha ha

Well hello Hank. Now your profile...is it real or is it not? That is the question!! I ask because I come from NW Ontario...do I dare say "as well"....or is this part of being under the radar?

Fish or beast....my hubby says...a fish and quite a fish at that! Where were you fishing for that one?

Nice to have you aboard.

I come from Thunder Bay as well. Now I live in Killarney, Manitoba. Quite a different place compared to TBay. Ever try McKellar's Coney Dogs? My fave!
